Capital Municipality Launches “The Market” Event Under the Slogan “Our Parks Are Thriving”

The Capital Municipality has launched “The Market” event under the slogan “Our Parks Are Thriving”, which will run for three days from 16 to 18 January 2025 at Sitra Walkway. The event was inaugurated in the presence of the Chairman of the Capital Municipal Council, Engineer Saleh Tarada, the Director General of the Capital Municipality, Engineer Mohammed Saad Al-Suhaili, along with several members of the Capital Municipal Council and officials. The event aims to strengthen the concept of community partnership and activate the social role of the Capital Municipality’s various projects, including parks, gardens, and walkways. It also seeks to introduce the municipality’s projects, services, and programs. The event will be open to the public over the three days. “The Market” event carries a unique character through the innovative activities and interactive experiences it offers. These include exhibitions for local products and productive families, a range of educational workshops related to sustainable agriculture and plant cultivation, as well as entertainment activities for children. The event also features interactive activities such as face painting and art workshops, in addition to lectures highlighting the importance of environmental preservation and sustainable development. The event aims to enhance environmental awareness in parks, gardens, and walkways, encourage community participation, and provide an enjoyable experience for all visitors. “The Market” also includes competitions and prizes to motivate visitor engagement, along with cultural and artistic theatrical performances. Health consultations will be provided by participating healthcare groups, and a dedicated area for food and beverages has been arranged. It is worth noting that “The Market” event will be held weekly across the four governorates, with each week taking place in a different governorate at one of the projects of the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and will continue until the first half of March 2025.
